As of now I am currently in Pleasant Hill, Iowa visiting some friends and family that I haven't seen in years. This is just a short stop for me and my family as we drive to Michigan where I will begin my journey as a Life Action children's minister! I will be spending about a month training there and then my team and I will launch out to our first church! I honestly can't believe I'm almost there.
However, for the past week my body has been struggling to fight a severe cold. No matter how many pills or tissues I've used I still manage to have a high fever and to be stuck in bed. God helps me to feel better every now and then but for the most part it's been not so great. Being so sick made it very hard to get physically and mentally ready for my year of missionary work. Please keep me in your prayers as tomorrow is a very big day for me and my team!

Cheerleading, Life Action, and Cross-Country Journeys
Dear Friends and Family,
This summer has been a crazy God journey and I can't wait for an even bigger journey. As many of you know, I spent the summer working for a company called the Fellowship of Christian Cheerleaders. During my time working for them I traveled all across the country running cheerleading camps for girls ages 12-18 and shared the love of Jesus with the teams and their coaches. FCC has been a large part of my life for the past six years. I attended FCC cheer camps when I was in school and I've always looked up to their staff members. Last summer, God blessed me greatly when I was asked to become a part of staff once I'd graduated high school. Now that I'm done cheering for the summer, I'm spending the next couple of days preparing for an even bigger God journey that has been in the making for the past year and a half.
For those of you who don't know, or aren't familiar with what I'm doing this year, I am traveling with a group called Life Action. They're based in Buchanan, Michigan and were founded in 1971. In 2011 I was praying about my future after high school and I clearly heard the voice of God tell me that I was going to Life Action. I immediately applied and now, over a year later, I am on my way. In fact, I am driving to Michigan tomorrow.
Thank you so much to anyone and everyone who has been supportive of me through this time; whether it was attending my graduation, graduation party, and any and all financial support. I cannot begin to express how much it has all meant to me. You can still continue to support me while I am on this adventure. I will be posting details as to how you can support me within the next few days.
In His Name.
Marina
